York Regional Police officers will be back Tuesday searching a field east of Aurora, Ont., where a human skull was found.
Police said the skull was discovered Saturday morning near Warden Avenue and St. John’s Sideroad after a passerby discovered it and contacted the authorities.
Investigators are looking for clues to answer several questions including who the remains belong to, how did the person get there and if there’s any foul play involved.
It’s not yet known if the remains are that of a man or a woman.
Police said they will start to search their records for missing persons in the area and then move on from there.
